A mezuzah can be compared to a spiritual “helmet” over the home, constantly protecting its occupants wherever they may be and safeguarding them from harm. In challenging times as these, Jews need even stronger reassurance and awareness of G-d’s everpresent watchful eye.
Affixing a mezuzah to our doorpost helps us affirm our Jewish identity and declare our faith in Hashem as our Guardian. By observing this mitzvah, a Jew is protected and derives the strength needed to stay firmly rooted against the winds of turbulence.
